A global automotive leader has enhanced its supply chain capabilities with the deployment of Palian Manufacturing’s Adjustable Pallet Racking (APR) system as part of a strategic expansion project.

APR racking remains the gold standard for facilities seeking flexibility, direct access, and robust load capacity. For this automotive distribution centre, the system was configured to suit a high SKU count, rapid handling volume, and strict safety requirements.

Safety and asset protection were prioritised throughout the installation. Each aisle end features heavy-duty row end protectors, providing a strong barrier against accidental impacts from material handling equipment. Upright protectors are installed at all entry points to guard against forklift damage at ground level, significantly reducing the risk of structural compromise over the rack’s service life.

Timber deck specification was tailored for this project. Open slatted timber decking, manufactured from premium South African pine, promotes airflow, reduces dust build-up, and provides reliable support for a wide range of automotive parts.

Every bay utilises high-visibility steel components, and the modular rack structure allows for seamless future scalability as demands increase. Palian’s solution ensures continuous operational safety, efficient handling, and optimized space usage for the evolving requirements of the automotive industry.
